A favourite with trade professionals to clean and prepare surfaces as an alternative to abrasive papers, ProDec steel wool can be moulded to any shape to enable easy abrasion of irregular, contoured or hard to reach spots, unlike sandpaper especially which tends to crack. Whereas abrasive papers have a tendency to clog sooner or later, steel wool does not – the mesh structure enables you to simply shake the wool to quickly and effectively remove sanding dust, improving sanding efficiency. It can also be used in conjunction with chemical strippers where a more aggressive approach is required on harder films such as two-pack or epoxy coatings.

• Trade quality steel wool for general purpose work including cleaning, degreasing and surface preparation for painting
• Fine grade ideal for gentle surface abrasion between coats of paint and varnish or smoothing out bare wood after using coarser grades of sanding paper
• Also suitable for cleaning or polishing glass and common metal alloys such as brass
